Key Responsibilities
- Lead the engineering design of subsea trees, manifolds, and flowlines in compliance with industry standards.
- Coordinate with procurement and construction teams to ensure timely delivery of critical equipment.
- Perform hydraulic and thermal simulations to optimize production rates and minimize downtime.
- Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, including P&IDs, datasheets, and risk assessments.
- Support installation and commissioning activities on offshore platforms and vessels.
- Monitor real‑time production data and implement corrective actions to enhance system performance.
- Ensure all activities adhere to health, safety, environmental, and quality (HSEQ) regulations.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in subsea engineering software such as OrcaFlex, CAEPIPE, and ANSYS.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a focus on reliability engineering.
- Excellent communication skills for interfacing with multidisciplinary teams and external vendors.
- Ability to work in offshore environments, including rotation schedules and remote locations.
- Knowledge of international standards (API, DNV‑GL, ISO) governing subsea systems.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a closely related discipline is required. Advanced certifications in subsea systems, project management, or HSEQ are highly desirable and will be considered an asset during the selection process.
Experience
Applicants must have a minimum of five years of hands‑on experience in subsea production engineering, preferably on offshore oil and gas projects. Demonstrated experience in design, installation, and performance optimization of subsea equipment is essential.
Salary
The compensation package ranges from SSP 30,000,000 to SSP 45,000,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The package includes performance‑based bonuses, health insurance, and a pension scheme aligned with Ugandan labor regulations.
