Located approximately 45 kilometers along the Kampala–Jinja Highway, near Lugazi Municipal Council in Buikwe District, the company plays a key role in Uganda’s agro-industrial and manufacturing sector.
SCOUL is currently seeking a technically skilled and motivated Electrical Fitter to join its maintenance and engineering team. The successful candidate will support the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of motors and electrical systems to ensure efficient factory operations.

Job Description (JD)
The Electrical Fitter will be responsible for carrying out electrical fitting, equipment servicing, preventive maintenance, and repairs of motors and related machinery within the factory environment.
The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge in electrical and mechanical engineering, practical experience working with industrial motors, and the ability to troubleshoot electrical faults efficiently.
The role requires a detail-oriented professional capable of supporting smooth production processes through reliable maintenance services.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be expected to:
- Install, inspect, maintain, and repair electrical motors and related machinery.
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of industrial electrical systems.
- Diagnose faults and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues affecting equipment performance.
- Conduct routine inspections of motors to identify wear, faults, or operational inefficiencies.
- Assist in equipment servicing and replacement of faulty electrical components.
- Monitor equipment performance to minimize downtime and operational disruptions.
- Maintain workshop safety procedures and ensure compliance with engineering standards.
- Prepare maintenance reports and document repair activities.
- Work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure smooth plant operations.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing equipment efficiency and reliability.

Educational Qualifications
Applicants must possess:
Required Education
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
Preferred Additional Training
Training or certifications in the following areas will be an added advantage:

- Industrial safety and compliance
