Key Duties and Responsibilities
Electrical Training & Instruction
- Deliver both theoretical and practical lessons in wiring and electrical installation.
- Conduct hands-on electrical installation demonstrations aligned with TVET and UBTEB curriculum requirements.
- Prepare comprehensive lesson plans, training materials, assessments, and classroom activities.
- Guide students on proper use of electrical tools, testing devices, wiring systems, and maintenance equipment.
Student Assessment & Development
- Evaluate student performance through practical assessments, tests, assignments, and technical evaluations.
- Lead learner assessment and certification processes in line with TVET standards and UBTEB recognized modules.
- Mentor students in building technical competencies, employability skills, and workplace readiness.
- Support learners with diverse educational needs and encourage professional growth.
Workshop & Safety Management
- Maintain training workshops and ensure all electrical equipment, wiring tools, and installation devices are functional and safely stored.
- Promote strict compliance with occupational health and safety standards during electrical work and practical training sessions.
- Ensure students follow proper procedures related to electrical systems, power installations, troubleshooting, and workplace safety.

Administration & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, academic progress, performance reports, and training activities.

Education & Qualification Requirements
Applicants should meet the following qualifications:
- National Certificate or Advanced Craft Certificate in Wiring and Electrical Installation.
- National Diploma in Electrical Engineering is mandatory.
- Must be officially registered as a TVET Trainer.
- Additional vocational training certifications will be an advantage.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in vocational training, teaching, or assessment using UBTEB recognized modules.
- Proven experience in electrical installation, maintenance, power systems, troubleshooting, and technical instruction.
- Previous teaching experience in a vocational or technical training institution is highly preferred.
