Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Fitter to join our growing technical team in Kampala. The successful candidate will be responsible for installation, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems, industrial equipment, control panels, transformers, switchgear, power distribution systems, and related infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, assemble, and maintain electrical equipment and systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial machinery.
• Conduct electrical fault diagnosis and troubleshooting.
• Interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Install switchgear, transformers, motor control centers, and distribution boards.
• Support commissioning of new electrical installations.
• Inspect electrical systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Maintain maintenance records and technical reports.
• Collaborate with engineers and technicians during project execution.
• Ensure workplace compliance with electrical safety standards.

Required Qualifications

• Certificate, Diploma, or Higher National Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Installation, Industrial Electricity, or related field.
• Valid technical certification from a recognized institution.
• Knowledge of electrical maintenance procedures and safety regulations.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams and technical manuals.
• Computer literacy is an added advantage.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in electrical fitting, industrial maintenance, electrical installations, or power systems.
• Experience working with industrial equipment, generators, substations, or power distribution systems is preferred.
• Previous experience in infrastructure, construction, manufacturing, or utility projects will be advantageous.
