Job Overview

Jumia Uganda is seeking a dynamic Digital Product Manager to lead the development and optimization of its e-commerce platform. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of online shopping in Uganda by leveraging data-driven insights, user feedback, and market trends to enhance product features and user experience. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, and operations, to deliver scalable solutions that align with business objectives. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic roadmap for Jumia’s e-commerce platform, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to design, develop, and launch new product features.
• Analyze user behavior and market trends to identify opportunities for product improvement and innovation.
• Manage product lifecycle from concept to deployment, including prioritization of features and bug fixes.
• Work with stakeholders to define requirements, conduct user testing, and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
• Monitor KPIs and performance metrics to evaluate product success and drive data-informed decisions.

Required Skills

• Proven experience in product management, preferably within e-commerce or technology sectors.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities to manage cross-functional teams effectively.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello).
• Knowledge of UX/UI principles and digital marketing strategies.
• Proficiency in tools like Google Analytics, SQL, and product analytics platforms.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in product management are a plus.

Experience

3-5 years of experience in product management, preferably in e-commerce or technology. Demonstrated success in launching and scaling digital products is essential.

Salary

1,800,000 – 2,500,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and performance.
