Job Overview

This position involves designing, implementing, and evaluating educational assessment frameworks to ensure alignment with international standards. The specialist will work closely with educators, policymakers, and stakeholders to improve learning quality and accessibility. The role emphasizes innovation in assessment methodologies and capacity-building for local institutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and validate assessment tools aligned with national and international curricula.
  • Conduct training workshops for teachers on assessment best practices.
  • Analyze assessment data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Collaborate with schools to integrate technology into assessment processes.
  • Prepare reports for stakeholders on assessment outcomes and program impact.

Required Skills

  • Expertise in educational psychology and assessment methodologies.
  • Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., SPSS, Excel).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in cross-cultural educational environments.

Education

Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field. A PhD is advantageous but not mandatory.

Experience

3–5 years of experience in educational assessment, curriculum development, or similar roles. Experience in Ugandan or East African educational contexts is preferred.

Salary

UGX 1,500,000 – UGX 2,500,000 per month, commensurate with experience.
