As a Sustainable Materials Scientist at 3M Uganda Limited, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sustainable materials solutions that meet the needs of our customers and the environment. You will work closely with our research and development team to design and test new materials, and collaborate with our manufacturing team to ensure that our products are produced in a sustainable and responsible manner.

Job Title: Sustainable Materials Scientist

Location: Mbale, Uganda

Salary: 8,000,000 – 12,000,000 SSP per annum

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sustainable materials solutions that meet the needs of our customers and the environment
• Design and test new materials using a range of techniques, including laboratory testing and simulation
• Collaborate with our manufacturing team to ensure that our products are produced in a sustainable and responsible manner
• Conduct research and development projects to improve the sustainability of our products and processes
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and partners to ensure the availability of sustainable materials

Required Skills

• PhD in Materials Science and Engineering or related field
• 8-12 years of experience in materials science and engineering, with a focus on sustainability
• Strong knowledge of materials science and engineering principles, including materials properties and behavior
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering or related field

Experience

8-12 years of experience in materials science and engineering, with a focus on sustainability

Salary

8,000,000 – 12,000,000 SSP per annum
