Job Overview
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Hydraulic Systems Technician to join our technical team in Nebbi. This role is critical to ensuring the operational efficiency and longevity of our heavy machinery fleet. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining complex hydraulic systems that power our most essential equipment. Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostic tests on hydraulic pumps, valves, and cylinders to identify leaks or pressure drops.
- Execute complex repairs and replacements of hydraulic components on heavy earthmoving equipment.
- Conduct routine preventative maintenance inspections to minimize equipment downtime.
- Interpret technical schematics and hydraulic circuit diagrams to troubleshoot system failures.
- Maintain accurate service logs and technical reports for all maintenance activities performed.
- Collaborate with the site supervisor to optimize machine performance and fuel efficiency.
Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in troubleshooting high-pressure hydraulic circuits.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to use specialized diagnostic tools.
- Deep understanding of fluid power principles and component functionality.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in remote field locations under varying weather conditions.
Education
A minimum of a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Fluid Power Technology, or a closely related technical field is required. Certification in specialized hydraulic repair is highly advantageous.
Experience
Candidates must possess at least 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience working with heavy-duty hydraulic systems in a mining, construction, or large-scale manufacturing environment. Proven experience with Caterpillar or similar high-end industrial machinery is preferred.
Salary
The monthly gross salary for this position ranges from 4,500,000 SSP to 6,500,000 SSP, depending on the candidate’s experience and technical certifications.
