Job Overview

We’re seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sustainable Agriculture Specialist to join our team in Mbale, Uganda. As a key member of our sustainability team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sustainable agriculture practices in our operations and with our customers.

As a Sustainable Agriculture Specialist, you will work closely with our farmers, agronomists, and other stakeholders to identify opportunities for improving crop yields, reducing environmental impact, and promoting sustainable agriculture practices. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing training programs for farmers and other stakeholders on sustainable agriculture practices.

We’re looking for a candidate with a strong background in agriculture, sustainability, and project management. You should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, and a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or a related field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement sustainable agriculture practices in our operations and with our customers
  • Work closely with farmers, agronomists, and other stakeholders to identify opportunities for improving crop yields and reducing environmental impact
  • Develop and implement training programs for farmers and other stakeholders on sustainable agriculture practices
  • Conduct field visits to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of sustainable agriculture practices
  • Collaborate with our sustainability team to develop and implement sustainability strategies and initiatives
  • Required Skills
  • Strong background in agriculture, sustainability, and project management
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
