Job Overview
The Artificial Intelligence Product Manager will lead the end‑to‑end lifecycle of AI‑driven products and services offered by Oracle Uganda. This role involves defining product vision, gathering market insights, prioritizing features, and working closely with engineering, data science, sales, and marketing teams to bring innovative AI solutions to market. The successful candidate will act as the voice of the customer, ensuring that Oracle’s AI offerings address real business challenges in sectors such as finance, agriculture, healthcare, and manufacturing. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of AI adoption in Uganda while contributing to Oracle’s global product strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and communicate a clear product roadmap for AI solutions, aligning with Oracle’s strategic objectives and local market needs.
- Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and stakeholder interviews to identify high‑impact AI use cases.
- Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to translate business requirements into technical specifications and feature sets.
- Prioritize product backlog, manage sprint planning, and ensure timely delivery of MVPs and subsequent releases.
- Work with sales and marketing teams to develop go‑to‑market strategies, pricing models, and promotional campaigns.
- Monitor product performance metrics, gather user feedback, and iterate on product features to improve adoption and satisfaction.
- Represent Oracle Uganda at industry conferences, webinars, and client workshops to showcase AI capabilities.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and ethical AI standards throughout the product lifecycle.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, cloud AI services, and data analytics platforms.
- Proven product management experience, preferably in technology or SaaS environments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value propositions.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in market research and data‑driven decision making.
- Leadership qualities to drive cross‑functional teams and influence senior leadership.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and product development tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.).
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required. A Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA), Data Science, or a related field is highly desirable and will be considered an advantage during the selection process.
Experience
Applicants must have a minimum of five years of product management experience, with at least two years focused on AI or machine‑learning products. Experience working in emerging markets, particularly within East Africa, is a strong plus. Demonstrated success in launching AI‑enabled solutions and driving revenue growth is essential.
Salary
The compensation package ranges from SSP 30,000,000 to SSP 45,000,000 per month, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and performance. The package includes performance‑based bonuses, health insurance, and a comprehensive retirement plan.
