Job Overview

The Artificial Intelligence Solutions Architect will lead the design, development, and deployment of AI‑driven products and services for Google’s enterprise customers in Uganda and the broader East African region. You will work closely with product managers, data scientists, and engineering teams to translate business challenges into scalable AI architectures. Key Responsibilities

  • Architect end‑to‑end AI solutions that meet client business objectives and technical requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define data pipelines, model training, and deployment workflows.
  • Ensure AI models adhere to ethical standards, data privacy regulations, and local compliance.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and data scientists.
  • Conduct proof‑of‑concept projects and present findings to senior stakeholders.
  • Stay current with emerging AI technologies and recommend innovative approaches.

Required Skills

  • Deep expertise in machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit‑learn.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Go.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform.
  • Proficiency in designing scalable micro‑services architectures.
  • Excellent problem‑solving abilities and analytical thinking.
  • Effective communication skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences.

Education

A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a closely related discipline is required. Relevant certifications in cloud architecture or AI are a plus.

Experience

Minimum of five years of hands‑on experience designing and implementing AI solutions in enterprise environments. Prior experience in emerging markets or with African clients is highly desirable.

Salary

The compensation package ranges from 30,000,000 to 45,000,000 SSP per year, commensurate with experience and expertise, and includes performance‑based bonuses.
