Job Overview
Ogilvy Uganda seeks a visionary Digital Content Strategist to lead the development of impactful digital narratives for clients in the public and private sectors. This role will focus on creating culturally relevant content that drives engagement, builds brand loyalty, and supports business objectives. The ideal candidate will leverage data analytics, creative writing, and multimedia production skills to craft compelling stories across digital platforms. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute digital content strategies for clients in media, education, and corporate sectors
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to produce video scripts, social media campaigns, and interactive web content
- Analyze audience engagement metrics to optimize content performance
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends in digital storytelling
- Train local content creators in Sironko on modern digital production techniques
- Ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines and Ugandan cultural values
Required Skills
- Proven experience in digital content creation (video, social media, web) with a strong portfolio
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and SEO tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English and local languages (Lugbara preferred)
- Strong analytical skills with experience in Google Analytics and social media insights
- Creative problem-solving abilities and adaptability in fast-paced environments
- Knowledge of Ugandan media regulations and digital ethics standards
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field
- Advanced certifications in Digital Marketing (Google, HubSpot) are advantageous
Experience
- 3-5 years in digital content strategy roles, preferably in East African markets
- Experience managing remote teams or rural digital projects
Salary
3,000,000 – 4,500,000 SSP/month, commensurate with experience and performance metrics.
