Job Overview
Orange Uganda is seeking a visionary Digital Financial Services Product Designer to lead the development of next-generation mobile banking solutions. This role combines technical expertise with creative problem-solving to design user-centric financial products that align with Uganda’s growing digital economy. Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement innovative digital financial products for mobile and web platforms
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate financial services with telecom infrastructure
- Conduct user research to identify financial inclusion challenges in Ugandan markets
- Develop wireframes, prototypes, and user journey maps for digital banking solutions
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and data privacy standards
- Monitor product performance and iterate based on user feedback
Required Skills
- Proven experience in financial product design with a focus on mobile technology
- Strong understanding of Ugandan financial ecosystem and regulatory landscape
- Proficiency in UX/UI design tools (Figma, Adobe XD)
- Knowledge of API integrations for financial services
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Fluency in both English and local languages preferred
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Finance, or related field
- Postgraduate qualification in Financial Technology or Digital Innovation is an advantage
Experience
- 3-5 years in financial product development or digital service design
- Experience in East African markets is highly desirable
Salary
3,000,000 – 5,000,000 SSP per month, depending on experience and qualifications.
