Position Overview
TASO Uganda is seeking a qualified and passionate Public Health Officer to support the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of public health programs. The successful candidate will work closely with healthcare providers, local authorities, community leaders, and development partners to improve health outcomes and strengthen disease prevention initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
- Implement community health education and awareness campaigns.
- Conduct public health assessments and community outreach activities.
- Support disease surveillance and outbreak response programs.
- Collect, analyze, and report health-related data.
- Coordinate vaccination, prevention, and health promotion activities.
- Monitor program performance indicators and prepare technical reports.

Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Environmental Health, Community Health, Epidemiology, Health Promotion, or a related discipline.
- Postgraduate qualifications in Public Health will be an added advantage.
- Registration with relevant professional bodies is desirable.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in public health programs, healthcare projects, NGO operations, or community development initiatives.
- Experience working with donor-funded health programs is preferred.
- Knowledge of public health regulations and healthcare systems.
