Job Overview
The Risk Modeling Analyst will be responsible for developing, validating, and maintaining quantitative models that assess credit, market, and operational risks across Centenary Bank’s portfolio. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement statistical and machine‑learning models to quantify credit, market, and operational risks.
- Perform model validation, back‑testing, and stress‑testing to ensure robustness and compliance with Basel III and local regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with data engineering teams to acquire, clean, and transform large datasets from multiple banking systems.
- Prepare comprehensive risk reports and dashboards for senior management, highlighting key risk indicators and trends.
- Monitor model performance, conduct periodic reviews, and recommend enhancements to improve predictive accuracy.
- Support the development of risk policies, procedures, and documentation in line with best practices.
- Engage with auditors and regulators during examinations, providing clear explanations of model methodologies and outcomes.
Required Skills
- Strong proficiency in statistical programming languages such as Python, R, or SAS.
- Experience with SQL and data manipulation tools for large‑scale data extraction.
- Deep understanding of credit risk modeling techniques, including logistic regression, decision trees, and ensemble methods.
- Knowledge of Basel III, IFRS 9, and local banking regulations.
- Excellent analytical thinking, problem‑solving abilities, and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Education
A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative discipline is required. Advanced degrees (MSc, MBA) or professional certifications such as FRM or CFA are highly desirable and will be considered an advantage during the selection process.
Experience
Candidates should have 3‑5 years of hands‑on experience in risk modeling, quantitative analysis, or data science within the banking or financial services sector. Prior exposure to regulatory reporting and model governance frameworks will be viewed favorably.
Salary
