We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sustainable Materials Scientist to join our research and development team in Mbale, Uganda.

Job Overview

The Sustainable Materials Scientist will be responsible for developing and implementing sustainable materials solutions for our customers. This will involve conducting research and development, testing and evaluating materials, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring new products to market.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in materials science, a passion for sustainability, and excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct research and development of sustainable materials solutions
• Test and evaluate materials for performance and sustainability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring new products to market
• Develop and implement sustainable materials strategies
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments

Required Skills

• Ph.D. in Materials Science or related field
• 8-12 years of experience in materials science research and development
• Strong background in sustainable materials and their applications
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science or related field from a recognized university.

Experience

8-12 years of experience in materials science research and development, with a strong background in sustainable materials and their applications.

Salary

8,000,000 – 12,000,000 SSP per annum, depending on experience.
