Job Overview

The Education Technology Implementation Specialist will lead the deployment of Google’s suite of educational products—including Google Classroom, Chromebooks, and AI‑driven learning analytics—within schools and training centers throughout the Nakasongola region and beyond. The role involves close collaboration with school administrators, teachers, and local education authorities to assess needs, design implementation plans, and ensure seamless integration of technology into curricula. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct on‑site assessments to identify technology gaps and develop customized implementation roadmaps.
• Configure, install, and test Google hardware and software solutions in classrooms and learning labs.
• Deliver hands‑on training workshops for teachers, administrators, and support staff, focusing on best practices for digital pedagogy.
• Provide ongoing technical support and troubleshooting, ensuring minimal disruption to teaching activities.
• Collaborate with local education ministries to align projects with national digital education policies.
• Collect and analyze usage data to measure impact, generate reports, and recommend enhancements.
• Maintain detailed project documentation, timelines, and budgets, adhering to Google’s standards for quality and compliance.
• Serve as a liaison between Google’s product teams and Ugandan educational institutions, conveying feedback and feature requests.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of educational technology platforms, especially Google Workspace for Education.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with fluency in English and proficiency in a local language (e.g., Luganda or Runyankole) preferred.
• Project management expertise, including experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
• Problem‑solving mindset and ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues quickly.
• Capacity to work independently in remote locations and adapt to varying school environments.
• Passion for improving learning outcomes through technology and data‑driven insights.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Education, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline is required. Advanced certifications in Google for Education, instructional design, or project management (e.g., PMP) are highly desirable.

Experience

Applicants should have 3‑5 years of experience implementing technology solutions in educational settings, preferably within East Africa. Prior experience working with NGOs, government agencies, or multinational tech firms will be considered an advantage.

Salary
