Our data center in Entebbe is a state-of-the-art facility that provides secure and reliable hosting services to our customers. We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Sustainability Manager to join our team and help us achieve our sustainability goals.
Job Overview
The Data Center Sustainability Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing sustainability strategies to reduce the environmental impact of our data center operations. This will include conducting energy audits, implementing energy-efficient technologies, and developing policies and procedures to reduce waste and emissions.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in environmental science, sustainability, or a related field, and will have experience in data center operations and sustainability. They will also have excellent communication and project management skills, and be able to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sustainability strategies to reduce the environmental impact of our data center operations
- Conduct energy audits and implement energy-efficient technologies to reduce energy consumption
- Develop policies and procedures to reduce waste and emissions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement sustainability initiatives
- Monitor and report on sustainability performance metrics
Required Skills
- Strong background in environmental science, sustainability, or a related field
- Experience in data center operations and sustainability
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field
