Job Description (Key Duties & Responsibilities)

Technical Training & Teaching

The Instructor Mechanics will:

  • Deliver theoretical and practical lessons in motor vehicle mechanics
  • Teach students vehicle servicing, diagnostics, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair techniques
  • Prepare lesson plans, workshop manuals, training resources, and technical demonstrations aligned with curriculum requirements
  • Train students in safe and effective use of garage tools, workshop equipment, and automotive machinery

Practical Workshop Instruction

  • Supervise students during hands-on mechanical work and practical exercises
  • Guide learners in:
    • Engine servicing
    • Brake systems maintenance
    • Vehicle electrical systems
    • Suspension systems
    • Fault diagnostics and repair
    • Automotive maintenance procedures
  • Promote occupational safety and workshop best practices

Student Assessment & Certification

  • Assess learner performance through:
    • Practical assessments
