Key Responsibilities

Equipment Maintenance & Repairs

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on agricultural and haulage machinery to reduce downtime and improve operational efficiency.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults in NEW Holland tractors, cane haulage trailers, and loading equipment.
• Service and maintain CAMECO, JOHN DEERE, BELL, and UTTAM machinery, ensuring equipment remains roadworthy and operational.
• Conduct repairs on pulling winches, hydraulic systems, braking systems, suspension, engines, and transmission components.

Mechanical Diagnostics

• Inspect heavy-duty machinery and identify faults through detailed troubleshooting.
• Carry out repairs on diesel engines, mechanical assemblies, steering systems, and hauling equipment.
• Monitor machine performance and recommend solutions to improve reliability and productivity.

Workshop & Fleet Management

• Maintain workshop tools and ensure mechanical equipment is properly stored and handled.
• Record maintenance schedules, repairs, spare parts usage, and equipment servicing logs.
• Coordinate with supervisors to prioritize urgent repairs and maintenance requirements.

Education & Qualification Requirements

To qualify for this role, candidates should possess:

• Diploma or Advanced Certificate in Automobile Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Professional mechanical certification will be considered an added advantage.
• Strong understanding of heavy vehicle mechanics, agricultural machinery maintenance, transport logistics equipment, and industrial workshop systems.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 5–7 years of hands-on experience in maintenance and repair of heavy agricultural machinery and transport equipment.
• Proven experience servicing:
  • NEW Holland Tractors
  • Cane haulage trailers
  • Cane loading machines such as JOHN DEERE, CAMECO, BELL, and UTTAM
  • Pulling winches and haulage systems
• Experience in mechanical troubleshooting, preventive maintenance planning, breakdown repair, fleet operations, and workshop safety standards.
