Job Overview

The Pharmaceutical Production Supervisor will oversee daily manufacturing operations within Pfizer’s GMP‑compliant facility in Kampala. Reporting to the Production Manager, the supervisor ensures that all production activities meet stringent quality, safety, and regulatory standards while achieving efficiency targets. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of production operators, technicians, and support staff to ensure seamless batch manufacturing.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), SOPs, and local regulatory requirements.
• Review and approve batch records, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and traceability.
• Coordinate with Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Supply Chain to resolve production issues promptly.
• Implement process optimization strategies to increase yield, reduce waste, and improve cycle times.
• Conduct regular safety briefings, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
• Maintain equipment readiness through preventive maintenance schedules and troubleshooting.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports for senior management.
• Mentor and train junior staff on best practices, SOP adherence, and technical skills.
• Participate in internal audits and external regulatory inspections, providing necessary documentation and support.

Experience

Applicants must have a minimum of five years of hands‑on experience in pharmaceutical production, with at least two years in a supervisory or lead role within a GMP‑regulated environment.

Salary
