Job Overview

The Regulatory Affairs Manager will lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of regulatory strategies for all pharmaceutical products manufactured and marketed by Pfizer Uganda. Reporting to the Head of Global Regulatory Affairs, the manager will ensure that all submissions, approvals, and post‑marketing activities comply with the Uganda National Drug Authority (NDA) regulations as well as international guidelines such as ICH and WHO. The role involves close collaboration with cross‑functional teams including Quality Assurance, Clinical Development, Manufacturing, and Marketing to align product life‑cycle activities with regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute regulatory strategies for new product registrations and line extensions.
• Prepare, review, and submit dossiers to the Uganda NDA and other relevant authorities.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of local and international regulatory guidelines and ensure company compliance.
• Coordinate with Quality Assurance to ensure manufacturing processes meet regulatory standards.
• Lead interactions with regulatory agencies, including inspections, audits, and meetings.
• Provide regulatory input during product development, clinical trials, and post‑marketing surveillance.
• Train internal stakeholders on regulatory requirements and best practices.
• Monitor changes in legislation and advise senior management on potential impacts.

Education

Experience

The ideal candidate will have 5‑7 years of progressive experience in regulatory affairs within the pharmaceutical industry, preferably with exposure to both local Ugandan and international regulatory submissions. Experience working with the Uganda National Drug Authority, as well as familiarity with ICH guidelines, will be essential for success in this role.

Salary
