Job Overview

The Retail Operations Manager will lead the day‑to‑day operations of the Gulu store, ensuring exceptional customer service, optimal inventory management, and achievement of sales targets. Reporting directly to the Regional Operations Director, the role involves strategic planning, staff supervision, and cross‑functional collaboration with merchandising, logistics, and finance teams. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all store operations, including sales, customer service, inventory control, and visual merchandising.
  • Develop and execute weekly and monthly operational plans to meet or exceed sales and profit objectives.
  • Manage a team of department supervisors and associates, providing coaching, performance feedback, and career development.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales per square meter, stock turnover, shrinkage, and customer satisfaction scores.
  • Coordinate with the supply chain team to ensure timely replenishment and optimal stock levels.
  • Implement health, safety, and security protocols in compliance with local regulations.
  • Lead loss prevention initiatives and conduct regular audits to minimize shrinkage.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to recommend promotional strategies.
  • Prepare and present operational reports to senior management.
  • Drive community engagement programs and corporate social responsibility activities in Gulu.

Salary
