Job Overview
The Risk Advisory Manager will lead a team of consultants to design, implement and monitor risk management frameworks for our clients. This role involves close collaboration with senior stakeholders to identify emerging risks, develop mitigation strategies, and embed robust controls across business processes. Key Responsibilities
- Lead risk assessment engagements for clients in banking, manufacturing, energy, telecom and public sector industries.
- Develop and customise risk management frameworks, policies and procedures aligned with international standards such as ISO 31000 and COSO.
- Conduct workshops and training sessions for client senior management on risk culture and governance.
- Prepare detailed risk reports, dashboards and executive summaries that support strategic decision‑making.
- Collaborate with audit and tax teams to provide integrated advisory solutions.
- Mentor junior consultants, fostering a high‑performance team environment.
- Stay abreast of regulatory changes and emerging risk trends in Uganda and the broader East African region.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a data‑driven mindset.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of influencing senior executives.
- Proficiency in risk management software and advanced Excel/Power BI modelling.
- Deep understanding of regulatory environments in Uganda, including the Bank of Uganda, URSB and sector‑specific guidelines.
- Project management expertise with the ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously.
- Leadership qualities that inspire trust and collaboration.
Education
A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or a related discipline is required. Professional certifications such as CPA, CIA, CRMA, or FRM are highly desirable and demonstrate a commitment to the risk advisory profession.
Experience
Candidates must have 5‑8 years of experience in risk advisory, internal audit, compliance or consulting, preferably within a Big Four or a reputable professional services firm. Experience across multiple sectors—such as banking, energy, telecommunications, manufacturing or government—will be considered an advantage.
Salary
The role offers a competitive annual salary ranging from SSP 30,000,000 to SSP 45,000,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and other incentives are part of the total remuneration package.
