Job Overview

The Supply Chain Manager will lead end‑to‑end logistics for BHP’s mining activities in Masaka, ensuring the timely procurement, transportation, and distribution of raw materials, equipment, and consumables. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive supply chain strategies aligned with mining production plans.
  • Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with BHP’s ethical sourcing policies.
  • Oversee inventory management, demand forecasting, and replenishment processes to minimize stock‑outs and excess.
  • Coordinate transportation and logistics, optimizing routes and modes to reduce costs and carbon footprint.
  • Implement robust risk mitigation plans for supply disruptions, geopolitical factors, and market volatility.
  • Lead a cross‑functional team of planners, analysts, and logistics coordinators, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order fulfillment rate, lead time, and cost per unit, reporting insights to senior management.
  • Ensure adherence to local customs regulations, import/export documentation, and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with HSE to integrate sustainability practices throughout the supply chain.

Education
