Job Overview

We are seeking an analytical Trade Marketing Specialist to join our Commercial Department in Kampala. In this role, you will translate brand strategies into trade programs that drive volume growth, enhance brand visibility, and optimize market share across retail channels. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute trade marketing strategies to achieve volume and value targets.
• Design and distribute high-impact Point-of-Sale Materials to maximize brand visibility.
• Monitor competitor activities and market trends to provide actionable commercial insights.
• Collaborate with sales teams to implement localized promotional campaigns and trade incentives.
• Manage trade marketing budgets efficiently, ensuring optimal return on investment.
• Conduct regular market audits to evaluate promotional effectiveness and execution gaps.

Required Skills

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate market data into trade strategies.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to build trade relationships.
• Proven project management capabilities, managing multiple campaigns under tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in sales data tools, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Understanding of route-to-market strategies and retail channel dynamics in East Africa.

Education

A Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Commerce, or a closely related field is required.

Experience

A minimum of four years of progressive experience in trade marketing or brand management within an FMCG environment is preferred.
