The company is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Head Mechanic – Passenger Vehicles Section to oversee maintenance and repair activities for company passenger vehicles, motorcycles, and utility transport systems.

Job Description (JD)

The Head Mechanic – Passenger Vehicles Section will be responsible for supervising repair, servicing, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of passenger vehicles, motorcycles, and related transport assets within the organization.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in automobile engineering, hands-on diagnostic experience, and practical knowledge in maintaining different vehicle brands and models, particularly Toyota vehicles and motorcycles.

This position requires a highly organized and technically competent individual capable of ensuring optimal vehicle performance, reducing downtime, and maintaining fleet safety standards.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Supervising the maintenance and repair of company passenger vehicles and transport equipment.
  • Diagnosing mechanical faults and carrying out effective repairs.
  • Performing preventive maintenance schedules to reduce vehicle breakdowns.
  • Managing servicing of Toyota Double Cabin Pick-Ups, Premio Cars, Land Cruiser, Prado, and other passenger vehicles.
  • Conducting repair and maintenance of motorcycles including:
    • TVS
    • Bajaj
    • Yamaha
  • Overseeing maintenance of golf carts and other utility transport equipment.
  • Monitoring workshop activities and ensuring compliance with maintenance standards.
  • Conducting inspections and ensuring roadworthiness of company vehicles.
  • Maintaining repair records, maintenance schedules, and service documentation.
  • Ensuring availability and proper use of workshop tools and spare parts.
  • Supporting continuous operational efficiency of the transport section.

Educational Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

Required Education

  • Diploma or Advanced Certificate in Automobile Engineering or a closely related technical field from a recognized institution.

Preferred Additional Training

Training or certification in:

  • Automotive diagnostics
  • Fleet maintenance systems
  • Vehicle electrical systems
  • Preventive maintenance
  • Workshop safety and occupational health

Additional manufacturer-specific certifications in Toyota vehicle maintenance would be considered an added advantage.

Experience Requirements

Candidates must demonstrate:

  • 7–8 years of hands-on practical experience in:
    • Repair and maintenance of passenger vehicles
    • Fleet servicing and mechanical diagnostics
    • Automotive workshop operations
